1985 F-150 Shorty 4x4

Every vehicle made has a following. Ford Trucks are very popular and this 1985 F-150 Shorty 4x4 will soon get the full restoration service has the current owner wants this truck back to "As New." The truck came stock with a 351 Windsor and automatic. This is the first vehicle we got to test drive before restoration begins and actually have worked out a couple of bugs before tear down to eliminate know problems. This truck is from Belzoni, Mississippi. The owner is a Crop Duster and allowed us to take pictures of his vintage Radial Pratt and Whitney airplane motor to share. An interesting deviation from stock on will be mating a Ford AOD transmission in place of the C-6 for better drivability. We picked the truck up in Mississippi to help out our busy new friend. In recent months we have been to Georgia, Florida and soon to Virginia to deliver vehicles back to our shop. We are getting very well known for our quality restoration work.

The Classic Truck Restoration is well under way. The 85 F-150 has been stripped down and the 351 Windsor motor has been sent to the machine shop for machining so we can reassemble. A donor Bronco was purchased so we could get an overdrive transmission and matching transfer case from same unit. It has been rebuilt and is in storage. The frame has been sent off for sandblasting and body work has started. The floors pans had some rust and will be cut out and replaced. Over all truck is n great shape.

The Ford F-150 has had every aspect touched, cleaned, repainted, and re-plated. The customer informed me upon picking the truck up he wanted a brand new truck and 4x4. This truck is just that now after a one year stay. Attention to detail is the number one priority. NOS parts were sought out has well has a quality seat re-upholster job. Even Ford NOS hub caps were specifically fit to the 16 inch American Racing wheels. This example of a Ford truck from this era is probably the best in the country that is still 95 % original.
